Emily Bolt is an accomplished professional with over 20 years of experience in the street lighting industry. Currently serving as the Technical Services Manager (Systems Architect) at Signify UKI (formerly Philips Lighting), Emily plays a pivotal role in supporting the public lighting sales team and customers through technical expertise in major projects and tenders across the Road and Street, Transportation, and Education sectors. Emily is a dedicated advocate for advancing technical excellence in the field of road and street lighting, with responsibilities that also include delivering training sessions for both internal teams and external stakeholders on topics such as Intelligent Asset Management, Absolute Photometry, and Solar Hybrid solutions.
Emily’s diverse career spans roles as a contractor, consultant, and manufacturer, giving her a broad perspective on the industry. Before joining Signify, she worked as a bid/product manager, gaining valuable experience in lighting design, project management, and product development.
A Chartered Engineer, Emily holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Leeds University. She is actively involved in industry leadership as the Vice President, Technical, for the Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP). Emily’s passion for innovation and education continues to shape the future of lighting technology and its applications.
