CEO and co-founder of Vexica

Andrew Littler is CEO and co-founder of Vexica, with more than 25 years’ experience in the lighting industry across commercial, technical and product development roles.

A graduate in International Business & Marketing, Andrew spent 12 years living and working in South America and has since worked across the UK, Middle East and USA. His experience includes everything from international retail rollouts to large-scale lighting projects across the Middle East.

Vexica began as a specialist in exterior architectural lighting and now forms part of the wider Lumenoso group. The group also includes Vertically Urban, specialising in horticultural lighting; LumiTRU, focused on indoor and circadian lighting; and The Lumi Studio, which is exploring the possibilities of large-scale additive manufacturing.

More recently, Andrew has been looking at how these different areas of lighting can work together. Through The Lumi Studio, this includes the use of robotic Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM), recycled and recyclable materials, local manufacturing and designing products with their whole lifecycle in mind.

LumiTRU brings another element to this, looking at how the quality and characteristics of light can help create healthier, more adaptable spaces. Andrew is particularly interested in how these ideas can be brought together – considering not just how a luminaire is made and the materials it uses, but the light it produces, how people experience it and what happens to the product at the end of its life.
